Strawberry

This past weekend was our Annual trip to Strawberry Reservoir and we had a blast! We were all so excited to use the new trailer that we weren't going to let the crappy weather stop us from going. Many phone calls to my Dad later we had the trailer loaded up on Friday and we were ready to go. We met my brother and his family on the freeway around Lehi and headed up Provo Canyon (we might have missed our exit because we were distracted by some dumb girl driving in the carpool lane while a cop was flashing his lights and siren trying to get her to pull over and she wouldn't get over because she didn't want to cross the solid line.....DUH!).

The weather wasn't that bad when we got there so we were able to have a fire for a little bit and than the winds picked up.

The next day was cold, windy and rainy. We had to spend most of our time in the trailer so we played a little Gin Rummy. About mid afternoon the sun poked out so we hurried and loaded up and went Crawdad fishing for the boil that night.
Cousin Jakers striking his usual pose

Adi is strapped in so she'll stay out of mischief! We are in so much trouble when this little one can walk, she is a busy little girl!
Aunt Carey taught Gar how to peel potatoes and he spent a good hour or two just peeling one after another. He loved it!
Our Redneck feast..........Delicious!
We can't wait to go again next year! Hopefully the Bartholomew's can fit us into their busy schedule next year, you were missed!

*Thanks Tom for all your tutorials! You would think with all the trailers we had growing up I would know a thing or two but sadly all I know is how to check the "damn bubble" to make sure we are level.*

KSL OCD

For the past 4 years we have been going up to Strawberry Reservoir with the Milne's (Tom, Carey, Jake and Mylee) and the Bartholomew's (Doug, Sue, Alex and Ella) for our Annual Crawdad Boil. And every year I complain that I don't do tents! Sean has finally agreed to shut me up and get us a trailer.....but he has certain terms. I immediately jumped on this before he decided not to hand over the money. One of his terms was NO DEALERS!! so I jumped on KSLclassifieds. I quickly decided that I didn't have a clue what I was looking for so I asked my Dad for help. We took a Saturday and went to a few local dealers (gasp!) just so he could show me whats good and whats not. I quickly figured out what I liked and what would work for the family. I jumped back onto KSL armed with knowledge.......and for the past 2 weeks I have done nothing but refresh my browser (have I ever mentioned that I "Heart" my iPhone!!) looking for the perfect little beauty to come along. We finally found it last Friday and picked it up today. Now I have 2 days to study that Owners Manual before our maiden voyage on Friday.......than I'm not sure what I'm going to obsess over next, definitely something that doesn't put as big a dent in my checkbook!

Have you people ever been on KSL Classifieds? It is just a treasure trove of items from places in Utah that I have never heard of before.......and there are some people out there with a true obsession with this site! So many times I would see an item that would post say 5 minutes ago and there were already 30 page views. And one of those people was me and I must admit that since Friday I have logged in just to see if another trailer has posted that I am missing out on, so I am washing my hands of this site! At least until I need to find my next great deal.......

Feeling HOT HOT HOT

July has heated up nicely and we LOVE it! We decided to get ourselves a little ghetto pool to cool us down in the backyard. If you know Sean at all you know how immaculate he keeps things and this extends to this little pool of ours. I walked out one day and him and Gar had taken the grease catchers that I use to cover the wok so oil doesn't pop all over and those were now the pool strainers. Truth be told, I'm not sure I have ever used the wok but if and when I do I would have been prepared. Another night I snuck out and they were out doing "chemistry" (as Gar told me) with the pool water. They had like 3 different viles and were testing the water and adding the needed chemicals. We take our ghetto pool very seriously around here!

Who has the cutest pool boys? I do.....
I did happen upon pool supplies that were on sale so I upgraded us to a real pool strainer

*I threw this picture in because who doesn't love a baby in a bikini?*
p.s. I should mention that this is not our grass in Adi's picture. Pool boy might lose sleep if he thinks people would think this is our grass. He's all about the turf maintenance and this one is not up to his standards. Sleep well my love

Bat, Ball and ummmm, what goes here?

Oh Yeah, a glove. That would have worked nicely on this last play of the season! Ouch

3 days of wakeboarding on it in Lake Powell probably didn't help much! Yet, this is the response I got........

and here's how we feel about that

9 Month Well??? Check

Wow, 9 months, I cannot believe it, time is flying!! No major malfunctions this time and Adi was such a super trooper and gave everyone big smiles. Kaley said all the ladies voted in the office and she was the cutest little thing to come in that day and I couldn't agree more. She is pretty darn stinkin cute! However, while the dr was looking in her ears he discovered she had an ear infection. What?! How?!? Who?! How does one not know she has an ear infection, Mother of the Year here people. Once again, I thought the runny nose and coughing was teething. Or wishing it was teething because the two teeth on the top are starting to get longer and it's really going to look silly when she doesn't have the other front tooth yet. Here's how she's looking......
Head 17.3 inches - 25th-50th percentile
Weight 16.5 lbs - 10th percentile
Length 27.1 inches - 25th - 50th percentile

Still a peanut
and just in case your wondering a new front tooth popped through on Saturday. YEAH!!! Not sure why she has to get so sick every time she is teething.
