Gu - Gu - Gu......STUBBORN

At daycare they started their preschool curriculum back in September. At the beginning of every month they send home a Newsletter of what they will be learning and at the end of the month they send home a Report card to let us know how much they learned. Their system is check+ or a check. We received his report this week and I quickly checked how he did, when I got to the last 2 categories I noticed that he had only gotten checks. I was a little shocked but quickly started giggling, he had received checks in Singing along with the group and Making hand actions while singing. Hmmmm, sounds like my Gar and I'm pretty sure he'll never get check+'s in this category, ever! Unless you're a fly on the wall in his bedroom and he's zipped up in his tents safety where he thinks no one can hear him. Yes, the tent is back and he's been sleeping in it the past couple of weeks. I wonder how long it will last this time?

In the past couple of months Gar has learend to identify letters and associate them with words. He'll be walking around the house going Ca - Ca - Ca CAT. The other day I could hear him and I can't remember the exact word but he was all Gu - Gu - Gu Door. I tried to correct him and sounded out Du - Du - Du Door only to be told "No, that isn't right!". And just to prove his point he walked around saying Gu - Gu - Gu Door the rest of the night.

The following day he was playing with a toy and because ALL toys nowadays have to make noise there is a switch on the front of it that has On and Off written on it. He asked me if O F F said off and I replied it did, than he asked me does Zero N mean On. I said no, it's Oh N and that read On. Only to be followed with "No mom, it's a zero".

Can you say S. T. U. B. B. O. R. N.!! Wonder where he gets that from!?!

BiRtHdAy GiRl

What a Year! In this short time you have managed to wrap the whole family around your little finger. You scream, we jump. You cry, we all try to figure out how to help you. You laugh, we all laugh with you. Your smile is infectious and lights up the room! Garrison completely adores you and you adore him and as a mother there is nothing greater than that!

About two months ago you came crawling out of your room with something in your mouth, when you got closer to me I realized it was a pacifier you had found in your toy box. That and a blanket (aka burp cloth or Uncle Jimmer calls it a dish rag) have been your constant companions ever since. As with your brother (and cousin Ella) you have become obsessed with the tag on your blanket. I just smile every time I hand you your blanket and you have to immediately put the tag in your hand or mouth. You've also found a new freedom this past month with learning how to walk. I am constantly stepping on Cheerios that are magically appearing EVERYWHERE!

I know this year will be just as fun growing with you and watching more of your personality and quirks come out.

Happy Birthday Princess Poo Poo Face!

*that's what Gar and I call you when you are having a moment. Gar cracks up everytime because what 4 year old doesn't like to say poo?!?! and this usually gets us all laughing again*

Try not to be jealous.....

Seriously, August and September flew by and I didn't get much blogging in. I just came upstairs to back up my phone to the computer and I found some pictures that Gar had taken. They cracked me up so I thought I would share.

Sean had a softball tournament in Wendover the first part of September. The kids and I didn't have much going on so we decided to tag along with him so we pulled the trailer down to the KOA. Wow, it's as fabulous as you would expect it to be! We are still laughing about it

Our little slice of heaven.....are you jealous?

Biker Dude

The week we got back from Strawberry Gar wanted to take the training wheels off his bike. We decided to go ahead and let him try it to see how he would do.

Sean was holding the back of the bike for him to get him steady and explaining to Gar what he needed to do. The next thing he knew he just took off! No help, no running behind him he just set off down the sidewalk. Well that was easy!

Hip Hop Horray

At daycare they have a dance studio that comes in once a week and offer classes to the kids. I didn't think much about it since Adi can't walk, much less dance and Sean would probably keel over if I signed Gar up. A couple weeks ago one of the directors asked me if Gar would want to go try the Hip Hop class for free, they had just changed the class from Friday to Tuesday to see if more kids would sign up. I left it up to Gar and of course his immediate response was no, shocker! I didn't push the subject with him and I just mentioned to his teacher that when his friends left to go to class that if Gar wanted to go to please send him. I got home that night and just casually asked him if he went and what he thought. He said he had gone to the class, I figured he might when all his friends were going, and that it was fun. I asked him to show me what he had learned but he didn't want to (he did want to but he has to do these things on his terms) so I stopped paying attention and all of a sudden.........he started busting out all his moves. I'm pretty sure he free styled a lot of the moves but some of them I could tell they had showed him, like a back spin! The next morning Lindsay showed me a video she had taken of the class, So Cute!! Sean will probably kill me for saying his boy was cute dancing but he is and I can't think of a better word. And honestly, who doesn't love a boy that can dance?
*sorry the images are blurry, I had to take them through a window*

Sneak Peak

I can't express how excited I am about these pictures! Andrea emailed me one of the shots yesterday and there I was sitting at my desk at work crying. They are that good!! We are going back again this week for more shots, Adi was having a bad day for the first shoot, but I wanted to share what we have done already.

Three little Pigs

I am not one of those happy glowy pregnant persons and newborns scare that crap out of me! So to many it is no surprise that Adi is our last baby. I have not once thought about how sad it is that I will never experience this again, in fact I look forward to every day that Adi (and Gar) grow and hit new milestones. Until last week........It hit me like a ton of bricks. I went to pick Adi up from daycare and the cute girls had put her hair into 3 piggers (pigtails).
So Dang Freaking Cute!!
I'm not sad that I will never experience those things again but I'm sad that time is flying by so quickly! She is not my newborn baby anymore.....she is almost a toddler
